For funders, charities and research charities
What a programme will cost, and what it will produce, before the money moves.
You fund research and want to know what a programme costs, what evidence comes out of it, and whether the output can be checked by somebody who was not there.
What you get
Costed programmes, with the gaps named
A programme resolves to the capabilities it needs, the facilities that hold them and the rates that are published. Anything not known is written down as not known.
Output that outlives the platform
Assay definitions, evidence bundles and analysis results are portable and documented. Funded work should not be locked into one system that can be switched off.
Evidence of delivery rather than of activity
A run is finished when its bundle replays and reproduces the recorded result hash. Activity reports are not accepted as delivery.
What is true today
- The costing is built from published rates and named facilities. None of the facilities has been asked for a quote, so no programme is costed at a price that has been agreed with anyone.
- Public cancer research runs through this platform as a service for the group's research charities.
